    Job role

    The analysis of the collected data in regards to investigated claims is a core aspect of the Fraud Analyst’s job.

    Responsibilities
     

    • Finding, collecting, correlating and assessing data found in publically available sources in the context of fraud investigations. This collection of data will span across social media platforms, openly available websites, and national and international company registers.
    • Internet research on fraud-relevant information from publicly accessible sources (focus on external and internal data analysis).
    • Proactive analysis of fraud schemes.
    • Securing information from publicly available sources that can be used in court.
    • Creating reports in alignment with the customer’s needs before and after the research.
    • Visualization of data using data visualization applications.
    • Use of mobile phone applications to leverage fraud investigations.

    Requirements
    • Background of 1 to 3 years of experience in the field of OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) and investigations
    • Technical/ legal university degree or a comparable education
    • Expert knowledge on research in all major social media platforms, press archives, blogs, databases of all kinds, register information, sales portals as well as larger regional platforms such as:
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • Twitter
    • TikTok
    • LinkedIn
    • Snapchat
    • Youtube
    • VKontakte
    • Odnoklassniki
    • Reddit
    • Ability to handle information retrieval from publicly available sources, analyze data found on social media and correlate it to the respective case needs
    • Interest in the subject and with the own claim to be always up to date
    • Understanding of data privacy and data retention policies
    • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
    • Fluent English & Spanish written and spoken
