What will you do in our team?

We are looking for someone to work closely with our Accounting team. Accounting manager has four direct reports and a span of control of 70+ employees, working to allocate tasks across the team.
The Accounting Manager will supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day operational activities of the accounting department, participating in the development and implementation of the company's financial policies and accounting procedures, ensuring appropriate financial control in compliance with local legislation. As Accounting Manager, you will be also involved in new business developments.
 

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including, but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting
• Oversees monthly financial close process and accounting bookings at company level by reviewing trial balance accuracy
• Verification and validation of financial statements and other tax declarations
• Assisting in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation by auditors and fiscal inspectors
• Participating in the development and implementation of the company's financial policies and accounting procedures, ensuring appropriate financial control in compliance with local legislation.
• Interacts at all levels and with finance controlling team or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close 
• Involved in new business developments, establishing the accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies, including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
• Interacts at all levels and with technology team or other business stakeholders to ensure new business initiatives are deployed efficiently and effectively
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
• Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Being up-to-date with the latest accounting laws and procedures and implement as needed
• Provide guidance on finance and accounting treatment to the other team members
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role of larger teams
• Experience working in ERP systems, preferably in retail area would be a plus
• Strong leadership skills, Self-motivated, results driven, and autonomous taking responsibility for achieving results
• Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
• Flexibility and ability to organize, plan and prioritize in a dynamic environment with concurrent demands
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Demonstrate good judgment and good problem-solving skills
• Respond appropriately to changes in the work setting
