    Capital Markets operates a broad range of international equity, fixed income, related exchange-traded funds (ETFs)/exchange-traded products (ETPs) and foreign exchange markets that enable customers, communities and economies to grow.

    The division combines LSEG's Capital Markets division with trading platforms and the Tradeweb fixed income trading platform, supporting customers which seek to trade and raise capital on a global basis.

    Post Trade operates a group of multinational clearing houses that provide counterparty risk mitigation across multiple asset classes for sell-side clearing members and buy-side clients in conjunction with trading venues globally. Our regulatory reporting services help clients comply with multiple global reporting regimes all through one platform.

    • LCH is a multi-asset class clearing house, serving major exchanges and platforms and a range of OTC markets, OTC and listed rates, credit-default swaps (CDS), FX, fixed income, commodities, cash equities, and equity derivatives.

    • UnaVista is a regulated platform that helps customers meet their reporting compliance obligations and reduce operational and regulatory risk through reporting, reference data and analytics solutions. In addition, it provides regulatory solutions, confirmation matching, data solutions, MIFIR each-way reconciliations and Rules Engine.

    Index Technology Benchmark & Index Solutions consists of FTSE Russell and Refinitiv Benchmark Services. FTSE Russell is a global provider of benchmarks and indices with industry-leading capabilities across asset classes, styles, and strategies. Refinitiv Benchmark Services provides interest rate and FX benchmarks including WM/R closing spot rate, CDOR and Refinitiv Term SONIA.

    Role responsibilities

    • Contributes to and develops high-quality software design and architecture;
    • Designs, develops, and delivers software solutions that align with architecture, operational and risk processes
    • Develops tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
    • You may be assigned tasks in areas of creating and maintaining deployment tooling and automation to support the CI/ CD pipelines
    • Advocate and evangelise best practice engineering
    • Have familiarity with security and operational best practices
    • Collaborates with internal teams (including Product Owners/Business and Client Analysis) and vendors to fix and improve products
    • Works closely with the Research, Product and Sales teams to deliver products, services, enhancements, and solutions to meet customer needs and align with the goals of the business line

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

    We are open to all seniority levels, from Juniors (1-2 years of experience), up to 10+ years (including People Manager and/or Technical Lead responsibilities).

    • Experience with building APIs and microservices using Java;
    • Hands on experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery;
    • Experience with Cloud Native technologies on at least one of the major cloud services providers (AWS preferable, Google Cloud or Azure)
    • Experience designing and developing microservices in Java
    • JEE technologies (JSP, Servlets, JMS, Web Services including REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML and JSON etc)
    • Spring Framework and related modules such as Spring Batch, MVC, Data Access & Security
    • Databases & SQL skills using SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB or other relevant database technologies
    • Web application frameworks and API technologies
    • Backend architectures understanding including integration patterns
    • Proficient with Git/Jira/ Bitbucket
