    We're seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineers who can join us on this journey, using his or her technological skills to make us more efficient. In this role, you will analyze our current monitoring and observability services and assets, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training.

    Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of essential IT operations, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. From day one, you'll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions

    • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, software, and hardware

    • Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and resources to identify areas of improvement

    • Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed

    • Analyzes complex systems, including designing, evaluating, and implementing software-based solutions for infrastructure / site monitoring of availability, latency, performance telemetry; as well as solutions for capacity planning, change management, emergency response planning, and efficiency.

    • Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain data backups

    • Work under direction of leadership, detailing the technical requirements and specifications necessary to obtain and implement solutions.

    • May act as a technical project lead. Requires limited direction and guidance with most tasks.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions

    • Expertise with CI/CD development pipeline

    • Experience operating, designing, and building large scale, production grade systems

    • Experience with Unix/Linux (shell), Windows Server and scripting

    • Has experience evaluating, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of open-source tools like ELK stack, RabbitMQ, Sensu, Graphite, Grafana, Nagios, Prometheus

    • Experience with SRE or DevOps engineering practices

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proven leadership skills

    • Strong creative and analytical thinking

    • Understands large scale private cloud/data center networking

    • Experience with Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, or similar development tools

    • Observability: DataDog, BigPanda

    • Automation: Ansible, Puppet
