As a New College Graduate for "Account Development Specialist", you will start your journey at Microchip to become a sales professional in one of the TOP 20 of the Best Companies to Sell For. Microchip will provide OJT (On the Job Training) to you with Microchip's various product knowledge as you work as part of a Microchip account team supporting customers building solutions with our newest technology. You will spend a 24 month trainee program engaging with our local distribution partners and design partners, getting exposed to different customer segments including smart home/city, IoT, I4.0, automotive. You will have the opportunity to learn Microchip Client Engagement Process, Challenger Sale and Insight provider, and at the end of 24 months, after being successfully exposed to the full scope of our technologies, you will have the opportunity to progress in your journey in technical sales, in accordance with your manager.

    - Learn and Utilize Microchip’s Client Engagement Process to identify, pre-qualify, manage and close on designs and new opportunities within region that are not already assigned to a Client Engagement Manager or Regional Distribution Manager
    - Follow up leads from various sources, including sample requests, seminars, Marketing Communication campaigns etc., to ensure customer satisfaction and uncover potential business opportunities at new prospects or existing clients.
    - Regularly update the sales team on new customers/opportunities requesting any additional involvement and assistance from the Regional Distribution Manager/Client Engagement Manager/Embedded Solutions Engineers showing an understanding of the regional and European customer structure and distribution demand creation activity.
    - Maximising cross- selling, ensuring that Microchip entire product portfolio is considered.
    - Continue to share success wins with valuable insights to help the global sales team to increase knowledge for driving new opportunities and new wins.


    - Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a business or engineering discipline with a strong academic track record
    - Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch, to engage with clients and internal counter partners.
    - Technical understanding of a market-specific segment like process-, energy-, or automation technologies
    - Ability to work autonomously and think outside the box.
    - Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    - Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work in a team, share information, make group decisions.
    - Demonstrated mindset for continuous learning and knowledge transfer.
    - An enquiring mind, keen to discover more about situations and probe for information without prompting from others.
    - Decision making attitude, capable of taking decisions and appropriate action in situations where not all relevant information is available or accurate, demonstrating realistic qualification of prospect business opportunities throughout the sales process.
    - Motivation for success and self-development
    - Persistence and capability to deal with rejection and setbacks, to recognise when current methods are not working, change plans and consider alternative approaches when appropriate.
    - Relevant experience from internships or similar experience would be considered a big plus.
