    Background Issuer & Member Services IT is a growing team that supports the expansion (of users and functionality) of one of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) key strategic web services. The platform is running on AWS cloud and leverages a number of modern technologies (ie serverless, NoSQL, containers, etc). The Software Developer will play a central role in developing the platform's functionality (both front-end and back-end) and engineering changes and enhancements to the underlying system components and toolsets. Success Metrics Match or exceed expectations on pace and quality of delivery into production with minimal post deployment support issues or bugs Production support priorities will be maintained A proactive and balanced contribution to the overall improvement of the development processes, tools and solutions Feedback from a cross-section of stakeholders (PO's, others in the Development team) Career Opportunities Working with a modern cloud technology stack Working in a modern agile development team Working with best-in-class software development tools and software development practices Gaining experience in a significant global financial services enterprise Objectives Delivery of front and back-end solutions Designing and delivering solutions in accordance with team and organisational standards Collaborating with peers on code reviews and QA Supporting diagnosis and resolution of production issues Identifying and overcoming/working around obstacles, challenges and impediments to progress Contributing to the development of team standards and service improvements Scope Participation in agile development, ceremonies - backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups, demos Use of an automated CI/CD workflow - using Jira, Gitlab/Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc Code management - branching, commits, merges in accordance with team standards Set up and management of personal development environment (AWS Workspace) Managing service improvement activities alongside development and support activities Collaboration with a cross section of technology and business stakeholders as needed Other ad hoc duties that may be required to support the team mission and goals from time to time Release and change management events may be scheduled outside of normal UK working hours. The FS Devs maybe call upon to be available to support these events from time to time Production incidents can be reported at any time. The FS Dev will participate in a rota for Level 3 support of problems outside of normal UK working hours Key Person Traits Responsibility & accountability - taking ownership Taking initiative - working autonomously Creativity - problem solving and overcoming obstacles Quality & integrity - ensuring accuracy and completeness Data driven - applying quantification and qualification in decision making Compassion and collaboration - working with a broad range of stakeholders Desirable Knowledge & Skills Business level proficiency in the English language - written and verbal Detailed knowledge and experience of software development Detailed knowledge and experience of object-oriented programming Detailed knowledge and experience with HTML and CSS Detailed knowledge and experience design and coding in Typescript A good working knowledge of other AWS cloud services (DynamoDB, Redis, CloudFront, etc) A good working knowledge of git (via GitLab and/or Bitbucket) Optional, but preferred Knowledge and experience designing and coding with AWS Lambda Knowledge and experience designing and coding with AWS API Gateway Experience working with a modern web application framework (preferably Angular) Prior experience of Agile project management practices Prior experience of CI/CD Prior experience of source code control and branching/merging practices Prior experience of working within a web development environment Prior experience of working in large corporate enterprises Optional, but preferred Experience working with Jira, Jenkins & Nexus Other Notes: Currently the team works remotely. As a result, the candidate must currently have access to a suitable location with good internet access to perform this role when not in an office environment.
