    Overview:

    An opportunity exists within a large financial services organisation for a Scrum Master. This role will form part of a new team to be based in Bucharest which will have support both locally and from the wider team.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Participate and contribute to key Quarterly Planning rituals (Quarterly planning pre-/post-/planning, retro, SoS)

    • Contribute to PI Capacity Plan, PI estimates and PI RAID log on time preparation, update and review

    • Moderate Scrum rituals (Backlog refinement, Sprint Planning/Retro/Review+Demo)

    • Create team capacity plans for upcoming PI and for each sprint using JIRA time tracking historical past

    • Estimate EPICs and User Stories using agreed with management approach

    • Ensure team meet DoD for Sprint, PI and Release

    • Ensures all teams members keep JIRA artifacts up-to-date, track time in relevant JIRA tickets and update agreed reports

    • On-time release preparation using agreed tool and handover to Prod Support

    • Report team progress using Perf report, report actual time spent for EPICs and User Stories

    • Own scrum RAID log

    • Collaborate with other Scrum teams to proactively resolve impediments and dependencies

    • Get clarity on UAT testing scope as well as E2E testing scope

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Scrum Master certification: CSM and/or PSM II or III.

    • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years for a software development team apart from other relevant experience in software development sector.

    • Excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

    • Experience of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, support etc.).

    • Experience being Scrum Master in a variety of contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.).

    • Experience with workflow/process and tracking tools that support Scrum.

    • Innovation or synthesis of new agile practice

    • Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.

    • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games

    About you:

    • Expert knowledge of the Software Development and/or Product Development life cycle

    • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization

    • Passion for intellectual ownership and possess strong attention to details and commitment to delivering quality product

    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and synthesize cross-functional input in a team/collaborative environment
