    ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

    The role is part of GBS Order to Cash team

    Geographic Scope: Regional

    Reports to: OTC Process Support Manager

    Reporting level: Non-management

    ROLE SUMMARY

    What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

    The Order to Cash Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Cash and Banking will be involved in sharing the best practices and leading process improvements along with the Cash Allocation and Banking teams. The SME will play a major role in training the OTC New Joiners and preparing the relevant training materials. The SME will also be responsible for common minimum practices, identifying and solving for process gaps, revisit the controls framework and ensure optimized set of controls is in place.


    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

    ESSENTIAL

    Experience Required

    - Solid knowledge of the Order to Cash end to end processes and Target Operating Model
    - Solid functional knowledge in cash application area, including banking platforms, collection methods (EFT, PayPal, cheques etc.)
    - Detailed understanding of the cross-departmental impact
    - Experience in Migration of Order to Cash activities from End Markets to GBS
    - Experience in automation initiatives in terms of cash application and banking (virtual accounts, automated cash application – search strings, automatic bank statement upload, automatic cash clearing etc.)


    Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

    - Excellent understanding and knowledge of SAP, HPQC is required
    - Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
    - Ability to work with management to solve business issues and support process improvement initiatives.
    - Ability to capture the end to end structure of a process and identify any potential bottlenecks to solve them
    - Organized personality with attention to details, able to work simultaneously on different projects;
    - Ability to communicate at all levels and apply high professional standards
    - Strong presentation and public speaking skills

    WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

    - Support the activities in scope for migration to be moved into shared service, in line with the migration framework and plan
    - Support Knowledge Management framework in terms of Training materials update and Onboarding of new joiners
    - Closely communicate with the End Markets, Cash Application and Banking Order to - - - Cash Teams in terms of end to end process continuity
    - Take ownership of and resolve very complex problems in a way that demonstrates balanced judgment
    - Demonstrate resourcefulness by exploring a range of alternatives and options to resolve problems.
    - Easily builds networks and rapport with diverse groups and collaborates cross-functionally.
    - Seek out new approaches and ideas for continuous improvement and provides support for the management team in terms of process automation and improvement initiatives
    - Use SAP confidently in the workplace, demonstrating the ability to run reports from different areas of SAP
    - Demonstrate deep understanding of business functions, with an ability to discern relevant business process risks and potential opportunities
    - Displays strong tenacity and drive to see things through to successful conclusion.
    - Try to provide solutions before escalating the matter to the upper management
    - Displays a thorough understanding of the relationship between business processes, data and SAP
    - Understands what types of reports help the business take decisions regarding the customer’s portfolios
    - Demonstrates solid understanding of BAT accounting policies, practices and systems
    - Anticipates reactions and responds appropriately. Probes and listens for information from others, without interrupting or judging, in order to understand underlying issues.
