Job role

Provide ongoing co-ordination and monitoring of the loss control activity / servicing of assigned accounts & loss control survey work to assist with servicing of assigned accounts. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Underwriting, Market Management, Claims, Clients and Brokers. Maintain and enhance technical skills and expertise in respective field to support the business.


Responsibilities
 

• Post binding desk reviews of 3rd party loss control reports of soft occupancy business according to the Quick Quote Tool review process.
• Account review requests and available information will be submitted by regions to the Desk Review Engineers.
• 3rd party rating and loss estimates in the reports will be converted to great ratings and estimations according conversion protocols and tools.
• For some conversions engineering judgement will be required. Data will be entered by the Desk Review Engineers in the respective systems generating the minimum required data for underwriting.
• Complexity of reviews (i.e. less protocol based and more engineering judgement/assessment) could be gradually increased with additional training and experience.
• Survey client operations, obtain appropriate data, identify hazards and discuss findings with appropriate parties. Generate loss control reports, recommendations etc.
• Innovation working practices, risk quality and new concepts to benefit clients and underwriting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s degree / diploma in other coursework will be considered in conjunction with extensive engineering/technical experience);
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Loss Prevention Engineer in the Property sector;
• Sound knowledge of technical loss control topics;
• Strong communication skills, in Italian + English: ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally;
• Self-starter: able to develop and implement initiatives with minimum input from Management;
• Strategic mind-set; future focused;
• Experience working in a complex global matrix organization and excellent team spirit;
