    Qualifications

    • Completed degree in Computer, Engineering or a comparable degree program; 
    • Expertise in C# and C++ development; 
    • Experience in software development processes (version control, build systems, testing, debugging, performance evaluation, continuous integration, deployment tool chain, test driven development); 
    • Interest in vehicle ECU calibration topics; 
    • Willingness and ability to get involved in technical issues in the development of software tools for automotive systems, get a basic knowledge about what they are doing and how they work; 
    • Willingness to take on technical ownership, responsibility and ready to challenge technical solutions; 
    • Capable of assessing the identified risks and defining a mitigation plan; 
    • Self-organized, structured, methodical, analytical; 
    • Good communicator, capable to connect with various stakeholders; 
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; 
    • Fluent in English, both verbal and written; 

    Nice to have: 

    • Prior experience in automotive software development and agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM); 
    • Willingness to undertake business trips abroad for trainings and project work; 
    • German language;

    Job Description

    We are currently looking for a Software Developer for Tool development to be a part of one of our teams in order to design, implement, deploy and maintain cloud-based software solutions using the latest cloud computing technologies. We support our partners with smart solutions, innovative technologies, and connected services. These offerings serve to simplify processes and, above all, make the driving experience more efficient, in a way that is tailored to the needs of each partner.

    In your role you will: 

    • Develop and program software tools in software build process for highly automated systems (software build); 
    • Be responsible for analyzing, coordinating and implementing product requirements; 
    • Determine the tool architecture/design and support the implementation of the tool functions as well as their validation; 
    • Define/create work packages independently or delegate to junior team members and synchronize to the Sprint-Planning; 
    • Support developers with C/C++ problems for various target architectures, communicate and discuss compiler issues with our compiler suppliers; 
    • Perform benchmarks of different compilers on the market, consulting users in customer projects and configuring tools; 
    • Work in a local team in an international environment and jointly shape the further development of the software build tool chain;
