    The Cloud FinOps team is seeking an Analyst who can work both independently and collaboratively to assist with the interpretation of reports to drive improved behaviours in Cloud cost management. The ideal candidate will have experience with a public cloud vendors cost management tool (for instance AWS Cost Explorer); will be able to use the tool to highlight where cost may be increasing from; can explain in non-technical terms to business stakeholders the increases and can work with technical teams to identify improvements with instance types or simple tag changes. Role Purpose FinOps team within Technology oversee the costs of running Public Cloud services; helps educate line of business on cost and usage management including ways to reduce their spend through savings plans; instance types and use of spot instances. Role Responsibilities Promotes cost accountability by leading business stakeholders to understand their own spend and enabling them to make key business decisions in support of future growth and product selection. Works with finance and lines of business to manage budgets using cost and usage information. Use code to interact with public cloud and SaaS solutions to report, identify & correct issues (Python preferred). Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and ensure risk is managed appropriately. Ensures adherence to reporting and regulatory requirements and that processes are followed in a timely manner, in line with agreed terms. Works with finance and tax colleagues to ensure compliance with relevant governance rules. Supports analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work in support of cost management. Attends and maintains minutes for key meetings / forums and tracks actions to closure. Provides support with board papers and similar, liaising with other functions to ensure complete and accurate information is made available in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements While this is an individual contributor role, working as part of a collaborative team is essential. 2 years prior experience working with public cloud essential (either AWS, Azure or GCP), preferably in a large-scale organisation. Demonstrable experience using AWS Cost explorer (or similar) to explain cost usage, essential. Advanced experience working with Excel's functions and formula essential. Experience using business intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI preferred. Understands common financial terms and can act as a conduit between finance and technical teams. Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. Experience with CloudHealth or Cloud Agility an advantage.
