    Job Description

    Bosch Engineering Group (BEG) represents a very specific unit of Bosch, with focus on smaller customers in the automotive domain, but with a strong 'flavor' (e.g. "sport/super sport" cars). This leads to long term and trust-based relationships with our, sometimes exotic, clients. This System Architect role relates to our Driver Monitoring Camera which focuses on detecting the drowsiness or fatigue signs of the driver. This product targets one of a few new General Safety Regulations (GSR) needed in the EU area, with the aim of improving driver, passenger and pedestrians' safety. Apart from this main function, other features of the product are:

    • Advanced Driver Distraction Warning (ADDW)
    • Camera occlusion
    • Gaze zone detection
    • Detection of secondary driver tasks (e.g. phone call, smoking, eating etc.)
    • Driver availability (e.g. driver is present and his eyes focus on the road)

    A System Architect is responsible for the system solution. The requirements need to be translated into a system, with its building blocks (deployment) and which regulations are applicable for the system. Before delivering the system, the System Architect is responsible that the designed solution is tested.

    As a System Architect for this Bosch product, this is what you will be doing if you choose to join the team:

    • Work with customers, stakeholders and suppliers in planning, definition and high-level design of architecture solutions and explore solution alternatives;
    • Based on a defined System Design, further define the system architecture, its subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment and communicate requirements to each impacted responsible;
    • Identify new functions and their implications on system level (e.g. binding requirements with impact in Endurance, Safety, Security,...);
    • Analyze the technical risks on system and vehicle level and provide this input for other related activities (e.g. impact analysis, security assessment etc.);
    • Participate in project planning, system demos;
    • Plan and develop the system architectural solution in support of new business (e.g. potential new features for upcoming related products);
    • Work with product management to determine capacity allocation;
    • Provide oversight and foster built-in quality;
