• 2-3 years’ experience as a Social Media/Community Specialist or similar role;
• 1-2 years professional experience in the same field, retail and beauty is an advantage;
• Experience with launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter);
• Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events);
• Excellent verbal communication skills;
• Excellent writing skills;
• Hands on experience with social media management for brands;
• Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels;
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask;
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills;
• Proficient in word processing applications, spreadsheets, presentation software and social media management tools;
• Good understanding of social media KPIs
• Set, implement and manage the social media strategy, calendar, and communication campaigns;
• Monitor and respond to comments and customer queries from Social Media accounts, groups and online reviews and questions;
• Execute campaigns to engage the communities within our Facebook groups, and influencers;
• Execute community initiatives and programs in collaboration with Brand and Education Managers;
• Create and manage engaging content for Social Media;
• Work with influencers and agencies to create informative and appealing content;
• Monitor social media campaigns and analyze web traffic from the online community using key performance indicators (KPIs);
• Update the monthly/quarterly/yearly Social Media and Community reports;
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Digital and Education teams;
• Use Social Media marketing tools;
• Participate in social events, corporate events and workshops;
• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies;
• Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends.
