    Overview

    An opportunity exists within a large financial services organisation for a Technical Lead as part of a new capability within RDP Content Platform Technology. This role will form part of a new team to be based in Bucharest which will have support both locally and from the wider team. This is a newly formed organisation of circa 450 team members that sits as part of the larger Content Transformation Team of circa 1000 people.

    Our goal is to build out the Technology team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is a very exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape new technology and drive change throughout the organisation.

    This role will work as part of a scrum team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the architecture and design solutions considering various aspects like extensibility, scalability, performance, security, design patterns, user experience, NFRs, etc., and ensure that all relevant best practices are followed
    • Develop a deep understanding of our users, their needs, behaviours, desires, and bring that insight into the heart of all aspects of project work
    • Define guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation.
    • Understand and analyse business use cases and technical requirements and be able to design, build and integrate a varying suite of internal and external services
    • Provide effort estimates for the requested functionalities
    • Lead and mentor the team to ensure best practices are observed
    • Contribute to the development effort of the team (We believe that the best way to know your system is to step in and help building it)
    • Perform code-reviews where needed
    • Delivery on time and commitments by the team

    Job Requirements:

    • 5+ years in development role
    • Previous experience in Java/Kotlin, Microservices - Spring Boot, RESTful API, SQL, Unix, DB programming, JIRA, Confluence, GIT
    • Solid understanding of automated software application builds and deployments
    • Capable of building scalable and robust infrastructure
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    Nice to have:

    • Hands-on experience with Python
    • Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS is a plus)
    • Good understanding of SDLC, CICD and Git (source code repository)
    • CI/CD tools integration and implementation
    • Rest API scripting
    • AWS
