Junior Python Developer

Overview Responsible for the development of information based products, and to provide support to the research team on their projects Key Responsibilities Supports the development, maintenance and implementation of information based products, analytics tools Assists the construction and calculation of metrics, models and algorithms relating to products Responds to simple internal research enquiries related to product construction and development Build high quality and high-performance modern mortgage research assistant systems and tools Build visualization systems for data displaying, reporting and research tools based on modern Python based GUI, data processing technologies and micro services Work closely with modelers to understand their business needs and support them with different kind of tools Work closely with other teams (Data, Quants, Cloud) for developing new features or improving existing ones Application building, deploying, releasing Job Requirements Mandatory: Academic degree (Bachelor degree or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar fields Proven Python experience (1-2 years) Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good attention to details and proactive attitude Nice to have: Experience in web application and GUI design is a strong plus Knowledge in computer science data structures, algorithms, software development cycle Experience in web services, cloud services (AWS is a strong plus), familiarity with GIT and modern build and release systems Experience with C++ Comfortable to work on both Windows and Linux platforms, with modern IDEs (VS Code, Visual Studio, PyCharm) Benefits We maximise each employee's potential through personal development through a wide range of learning tools both formal and informal.
