    About the position
    You will work with the newest technologies, including Android development and the latest version of Angular, to create a cutting-edge application for the defense industry. You will take part in designing and developing the next generation of our SitaWare products for the mobile market using the latest technologies such as Angular 13, Angular Material, Java, RESTful APIs, TypeScript and Gradle. Technologies used to build a modern cross-platform mobile web application in Angular, combined with a backend in Java, running in an embedded browser to provide two native applications for our users:

    SitaWare Frontline is a touchscreen application installed on Windows tablets in military vehicles and a breakthrough in battle control software. It offers clarity, simplicity and high performance that addresses real-world command and control challenges for the soldier at the frontline.

    Likewise, SitaWare Edge is an Android application which is specifically designed for the dismounted commander at the tactical edge.
     
    Responsibilities and tasks
    Your everyday tasks will consist of:

    • Develop full-stack software applications with a frontend in TypeScript and Angular, and backend and in Java
    • Troubleshoot, optimize and solve complex problems in an existing codebase
    • Design and implement new features together with our Domain Experts and User Experience engineers
    • Ensure the quality of the solution by reviewing and inspecting the design and code made by your developer colleagues
    Our ideal candidate
    • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer/software engineering, or similar
    • You have experience with Java and Angular, TypeScript development as well as unit test frameworks.
    • You are known for showing initiative – not waiting for others to come to you but proactively making things happen on your own. Likewise, you are not afraid to speak your mind.
    • While you can work independently, you collaborate well and listen to and evaluate technical improvement input from your colleagues; they know they can come to you to raise their questions and concerns.
    • Communicate in English both verbally and in writing with many different stakeholders and at all levels of the organization.

    Preferred skills
    • You bring at least 3 years of programming experience
    • JavaScript and CSS experience are a plus
    • You bring experience with – or are interested in learning about – GIT, Gradle, TeamCity and Jira SonarQube, Bazel, Clojure or something similar.
    • It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you bring experience with web technologies such as TypeScript or Angular 8, including experience with designing web applications using Angular Material for mobile, tablets or desktop environments.

    Practical information
    • You will be based at our offices in the heart of Bucharest. Here, you will join our Danish and Romanian SitaWare Frontline & SitaWare Edge project team of approx. 40 colleagues. Our project is brand new, so we have a great spirit, and you will have plenty of opportunities to learn from many senior colleagues.
    • Travel may be expected - approx. 5 days a year including visit to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.
