    ABA – Work in Austria is a department of the Austrian Business Agency, which also encompasses the national investment promotion consultancy ABA – Invest in Austria and the nationwide film commission Location Austria. The Austrian Business Agency operates under the auspices of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs.

    Thanks to this expansion, ABA is positioned as the central point of contact for specialised employees from other countries and as the key driver for presenting Austria as an attractive business and work location. For this purpose,

    cooperation agreements are arranged with outstanding universities,
    comprehensive information is suppled about Austria as a place to work,

    Secondary economic education (preferably focused on accounting)

    Minimum 3 year(s) of accounting experience (double-entry bookkeeping)

    Knowledge of Accounting and Finance concepts, combined with an understanding of financial systems/accounting processes to ensure delivery of timely and accurate results

    IFRS knowledge

    Exposure to local GAAP within CEE region (Slovakia/Czech/Poland/Croatia/Slovenia/Serbia) is advantage

    Experience with monthly closing process and preparation of reporting package

    Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley environment is advantage

    English proficiency

    MS Office skills, experience in working with accounting and reporting software

    Good communication skills

    General ledger bookings, preparation and maintaining of supporting documentation

    Bank accounts booking, Intercompany invoicing

    Prepare monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and intercompany balances

    Month end closing and preparation of reporting package for specific companies

    Analytical review of reporting package

    Ensure that accounting records are thoroughly maintained

    Reconciliation of interfaces between internal systems

    Support with VAT reporting and tax compliance

    Support to Accounting Manager with local GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements

    Supporting management and operational business based on accounting and closing topics

    Other finance related tasks based on ad-hoc organizational needs

    Ensure appropriate communication with all business partners

    Propose improvement of systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
