Unified Communications Engineer

This role is responsible for the day-to-day support of the company's unified communications estate. Role Description Reporting to the head of Voice and Video, this role is responsible for the day-to-day support of the company's unified communications estate. Key Responsibilities Reactively investigate and resolve faults related to the UC platforms and associated services components Managing 3rd party suppliers including technical liaison, technical compliance Configuration, and installation of UC componements Undertaking configuration of 3rd party equipment Resolve technical issues Liaising with technical and operational staff Responsible for creating procedures such as troubleshooting guides, upgrade and migration processes Handle escalations and resolve issues in accordance to agreed SLAs, identifying root cause of problems and outlining appropriate solutions Support Move Add Change (MAC) activities Ensuring systems are patched according to company and Vendor requirements Candidate Profile / Key Skills Essential Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Microsoft Teams, including: Direct routing via Ribbon media gateways PSTN Calling plans and DDI enablement 3rd party applications and interoperability including Ribbon SBC 1000, 2000, SWE and Ribbon azure media gateways Switchboard Applications VFC Compliance Recording solution for MS Teams Signalling Protocols - SIP. ISDN. PSTN MS Team Admin Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively with all organisational levels Excellent at managing and influencing a wide network of stakeholders, including senior management, who can influence and build relationships Willing and able to challenge customers and stakeholders to better understand their needs Excellent documentation skills Educated to degree level or equivalent Preferred Knowledge of networking technologies - LAN, WAN, SDWAN Legacy voice solutions - Cisco Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations Knowledge of IT security procedures Knowledge of technology estates and technologies desirable
