Overview
Senior Quality Automation Engineer, Development - Index Technology will be responsible for the solution design and delivery of building new quality automation frameworks, tools and tests in support the governance and management of Indices, operational and audit requirements.
The remit for this role is a part of the wider programme to build solutions to fit in target state index platform and achieving strategic objectives of LSEG Index business.
Role Responsibilities
? 70% of this role will be providing in-house framework support to the team, that is, the role will act as an enabler for everyone to do their jobs more effectively and with a 'low code' effort
? Exploratory, functional, non-functional quality automation of the backend/frontend engine for Index calculation and delivery
? Lead contributor for quality based technical solutions within an agile team
? Gathering of testing requirements and agreeing between IT, App Support teams, businesses teams in Index business
? Prototyping and developing quality automation tools addressing a diverse range of index and financial products
? Maintenance and support of the existing quality automation tools and frameworks
Job Requirements
? Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
? Experience in programming
? Previous exposure to REST API
? Previous experience with Selenium
? Experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery
? Confirmed experience of leading the design and delivery of quality automation software
Nice to have
? Experience in NodeJS, Typescript
? Understand DB's, SQL, etc - general backend tech
? AWS/Ansible/Jenkins/Git

? Excellent interpersonal skills
? Strong teammate, problem solver, a self-sufficient individual with an ability to be constructively address issues
? Willing to develop within a dynamic environment
