    Job Description

    The CIO Business Manager will support the Technology leadership team group in managing the operating rhythm for activities within the group and will help to shape operationalisation of processes to improve efficiency and transparency. They will support operating mechanisms that allow for clear communication, information flow and collaboration across the wider organisation. Providing operational analysis to Group technology to help guide the direction and activities of the Technology division. Using detailed knowledge and analysis to enable Technology Leadership Team members with operational planning to facilitate leadership alignment and delivery of key business outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Tracking and reporting of Divisional Strategic Objective, linked to the development of the CIO Dashboards as well as to the Tech COO Centre of Excellence work
    • Close alignment with the CIO Business Performance Manager to set the Technology Leadership Team operating rhythm to ensure leadership alignment and collaborate with CIO Business performance manager to understand the pulse of the Group to help drive Technology Leadership Team
    • Preparing agendas and appropriate meeting content for meetings and leadership forums, digitising minutes, and actions clearly, following up and tracking items to closure.
    • Ensure key strategic documents, presentations, and communications, in partnership with CIO Business Performance Manager and Head of Comms Technology, are delivered for key stakeholders including the board, Executive Committee, the Tech organisation, customers, partners, and regulators.
    • Has a strong awareness of the pulse and connection to understanding of what is really going on in the business, both internally and externally, so that the CIO Business Manager, Group CIO and Tech COO can better understand the business, make decisions, and manage their teams.
    • Ensuring decisions and action items from the Technology leadership team and strategic priorities and thematic initiatives are executed
    • Agenda items and themes for discussion. Gather input from key contributors to build relevant content for Technology
    • Produce monthly reports and KPIs as a key enabler for driving delivery of the Technology Strategic objectives, improved transparency, decision making, and better governance, with focus on automation and simplification
    • Act as an integrator and champion of culture. Connecting siloes, supporting collaboration and workstreams to drive organisation change and delivery of outcomes.
    • Executing significant strategic, operational, and cultural agendas calling for considerable changes.
    • Developing forward looking reporting calendar and cadence
    • Draft content and review reports with COO & CIO for sign-off ahead of report submission / socialisation.
    • Coordinate and Support Technology events including Town Halls
    • Structured management of Technology Leadership Team cadence and Operating Rhythm
    • Technology Leadership Team events calendar and schedule for controlled requirement of Technology Leadership Team time and prep-work
    • Comprehensive and complete Executive Reporting book of work
    • Accurate and up-to-date information reported for point in time presentations and executive papers
    • Streamlined reporting processes

    Knowledge & Behaviours

    The successful candidate will require strong numerical skills, with a proven ability to produce financial and business analysis/MI:

    • Gool level of Excel user - ideally use Power Pivot in excel to create dashboards
    • Expert in PowerPoint

    • A sound understanding of Project, Programme and Portfolio Management
    • Strong personal organisational skills with ability to plan activities within tight deadlines
    • Strong problem solving, identifies and resolves issues in a timely manner
