    Requirements

    This role is based in the Michelin Shared Services Center in Bucharest, Michelin Corporate & Business Services, where more than 700 colleagues deliver excellence in Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Sales Administration and Personnel.

    The Accounting Support Specialist will have two main missions for the subprocesses in his/her scope: improvement, "progress", of the activities carried out by the operational teams – estimated to occupy up to about 30% of the workload and continuity/ support/ back-up for activities carried out by operational teams - estimated to occupy up to 70% of the workload.

    What we’re looking for:
    • Min 3 years of experience in finance, handling end to end accounting process
    • Good knowledge of English (French would be an advantage)
    • Strong accounting knowledge with Economic background;
    • Good Excel skills, ERP system knowledge is a plus (Oracle Cloud)
    • Analytical approach, Structured and organized;
    • Customer oriented, with high level of adaptability
    • Team spirit and can do attitude

    Responsibilities

    The Accounting Support Specialist will:
    • Provide backup for a position in critical situations, at the request of the manager
    • Function as the first level of escalation for the operational issues raised by the teams: solve the problem together with the operational team and work on documenting the solution in a timely manner; ensure the timely escalation of the problem to the next level, according to the escalation matrix
    • Respond to partners' requests in a timely manner; this can be done either by responding directly to the request or by delegating to the operational team and doing the follow-up, to ensure that there will be an adequate response to the request
    • Monitor the compliance of deliverables with the expected quality standards and propose an action plan in case of non-compliance
    • Recommend improving processes, tools and way of working in his/her domain of activity; contribute and/or effectively lead projects and studies that aim to improve the productivity and quality of operations and to add value to customers, in collaboration with Business Support Expert ("BSE"), Lead Process Engineer ("LPE") / Process Engineer ("PE")
    • Participate together with the operational team in creating test scenarios and test processes and solutions before putting into production
    • Train the operational teams on the activities carried out; this responsibility includes training on new activities
