Data Engineer Intern

The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's largest Digital hub for strategic Tech projects.

Required skills & profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field (a Master’s is a plus)
• Knowledge on SQL and NoSQL; Python and a Reporting tool would be a plus

• Proficiency in English

Job description and key responsibilities

o identifying data sources, data processing concepts and methods
o harvesting structured and unstructured data
o integrating, consolidating, and cleansing data
o migrating and converting data
o ensuring appropriate storage of data in line with relevant legislation
o Spark for the processing, based on usage of Databricks clusters & Synapse
o Parquet and Delta lake for the storage format
o data preparation to design Datamart based on data

In term of organization, the Data Engineer Intern will be in a team of various data profiles: Data Engineers using SQL, Power BI tools, Data DevOps or Data Scientists.
More senior profiles will check closely the deliverables.

The profile will be under the direct management of a team leader who has the responsibility to ensure that projects and applications are managed in an appropriate manner. The position location will be within the Edenred Digital Center, Bucharest Romania.
