Principal Database Analysis & Development Administrator

Requirements:

- 4 years hands-on experience with recent Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle database versions
- Tuning database queries for at least 2 years
- Relevant experience on Windows Server
- Preferably Development background (T-SQL scripts, triggers, functions, stored procedures)
- Considered as a plus:
i. Knowledge of SQL Server Query Store
ii. Oracle AWR
iii. Knowledge of .NET
- Great communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Analytical problem-solving skills, persistence
- Global Team-oriented attitude but also able to work autonomously
- Passion for IT Technology and dedicated to helping customers

Responsibilities:

- Supply 3rd line database support towards ex- and internal customers
- Database installation/administration/configuration
- Performance tuning
i. Partitioning, indexing and collecting performance metrics
ii. Using traces and other tools to find the most resource-intensive queries
iii. Know your way around the optimizer and understand execution plans
- Develop and improve ways for automation
- Investigate new features which may improve product
- Minor database application design (data model, indexing strategy)
- Documentation (create and maintain)
