Required skills & profile

Experience:

Java web application development expertise with 7+ years’ experience
2+ years’ experience in a Team leading or management role
Higher Diploma / Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
Experience of line management and setting/reviewing objectives
Proven experience of fostering a learning and improvement culture, supporting more junior members in their career development
A good people person with the ability to motivate others
Practical experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools (JIRA)
Highly organized multi-tasker able to manage several concurrent projects at different
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience in developing microservices solutions based on Spring Boot
Demonstrated experience in container technologies (Docker or Kubernetes)
Experience in cloud environments like AWS or Azure
Experience in corresponding tools like Git or Subversion
International experience or working in international projects is a strong plus
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Willingness to discover new and complex topics
Goal-oriented way of working and pronounced willingness to perform
Strong skills in documentation and capability to articulate issues and tasks for non-IT staff
Strong in communication and organization, be able to prioritize task and re-prioritize constantly

Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities

Reporting to Software Engineering Manager, the Team Leader would be responsible for managing a number of developers as well as contributing to the development activities in Bucharest in-line with the company’s goals and objectives.

This will include:

Setting career objectives and reviewing goals of direct reports
Recruitment of new developers at all levels
Supporting the Software Engineering Manager and counterparts in the UK to foster a culture of high standards, collaboration and innovation & learning.
Contributing to the development of new product features as part of an agile development team
Take a lead role in ensuring the team meet quality standards and continuously improve
Monitor the quality of the team’s performance, manage workloads effectively and provide regular feedback against the agreed standards
