    The role is collaborating with the Quantitative and Technology team which sits within Agency Residential Mortgage Group. This is a developer role initially responsible for development and maintenance data infrastructure. This individual will work closely with colleagues within ISD Research and Product Management as well as other with ISD Data Operations, and Technology.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Understand data flows that support quant models, customize data storage and processing to optimize for user experience, cost, and speed.

    • Meaningfully contribute to code documentation initiatives.

    • Help develop new data pipelines, work on code reworking/rewriting/refactoring for the legacy applications.

    • Commit to support and improvement of existing implementations.

    • Coordinate with developers, data teams, ISD Research and Product Management team members on python code, to facilitate troubleshooting and handle implementation requests.

    Candidate Profile / Key Skills

    • Strong working knowledge of Python programming language is required.

    • Experience with data wrangling and creating data pipelines in Python is strongly desired.

    • Knowledge of Linux is required.

    • Good English communication skills.

    • Technical degree in a field such as Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics preferred.



    Nice to have skills

    • Knowledge of SQL with any of the database platforms.

    • Knowledge of C++ is a plus.

    • Knowledge of Pearl is a plus.

    • Knowledge of services in AWS cloud-based environment (AWS Certification is a plus).

    • Familiarity with programming, computing and searching algorithms is a plus.

    • Familiarity with cloud based ETL technologies (i.e. Glue) a strong plus.

    • Familiarity with Snowflake is a plus

    • Familiarity with finance and fixed income a plus.
