Qualifications

What we expect from you:

• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP/SRTP;

• 1+ years of working experience with Asterisk;

• The ability to manage pure Asterisk configurations from the source;

• Experience in writing dialplan configurations;

• Strong IP-networking skills, a solid understanding of the OSI model and the TCP/IP stack;

• Good knowledge of NAT traversal for VoIP;

• Good knowledge of protocol and packet analysis: ability to troubleshoot internal and external VoIP issues; SIP traces, TCP dumps, IP packets;

• Hands-on experience in SBC administration;

• Hands-on experience in Linux administration;

• Basic knowledge of MySQL/Postgres;

• Excellent customer service skills;

• Effective communication and strong analytical skills;

• Good written and spoken English.

Will be an advantage:

• dCAP certification;
• Knowledge of Python;
• Experience in AGI/ARI programming;
• Knowledge of DUNDi;
• Knowledge of monitoring systems (SolarWinds);
• Hands-on experience of MS Teams.

Job Description

Your tasks will include:

• Proactively develop and maintain 24x7x365 uptime of Phone System infrastructure in the company. 150+ servers, 4000+ users;

• General operational support and maintenance routines on Asterisk and integrated systems (SBC, CRM integration, voice quality monitoring, reporting and others);

• Designing, implementing and managing new features and integrated services;

• Providing technical support for Veeam users who raise queries or log support requests on VoIP matters via the ticketing system; handling helpdesk tickets, clarifying user concerns, and gathering all the necessary information to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner;

• Proactively monitoring VoIP infrastructure using software tools to identify problems before outages or performance degradation occur;

• Analyzing system performance to ensure high system availability and accessibility for all users;

• Managing configurations, troubleshooting, provisioning, and coordinating integration with third party systems;

• Developing and maintaining documentation;

• Participating in all relevant meetings as an expert on VoIP services;

• Liaising directly with suppliers, vendors and third parties as part of the incident management process.
