Senior Oracle Database Administrator

3-5 years of infrastructure experience working with Oracle Database. Certification will be an asset.
Knowledge of other Database platforms like Sybase, MS SQL and MySQL will be an asset
Good experience in diagnosis, Performance tuning and Oracle Internals, including Oracle 12c in memory feature
Experience in Data integration and analytics
Knowledge of OEM Grid Control 12c
Familiar with all RAC management utilities - srvctl & crctl utilities
Understanding of key Exadata features including Hybrid Columnar Compression, Exadata Smart Flash Cache, Exadata Storage Index and Exadata Storage Management & Administration
Exposure to Exadata Hardware Architecture including Database Grid, Storage Grid and InfiniBand
Exposure to Exadata Configurations
Experience on migrating existing Oracle databases into Exadata
Software and firmware maintenance of Exadata Storage Cells, including upgrades and patching
Software and firmware maintenance of InfiniBand switches, including upgrades and patching
Knowledge of configuration management tools: Ansible, shell scripting will be advantage
Basic knowledge of Linux and UNIX operating systems
Understand baseline security requirements and platform hardening principles.
Have good verbal communication skills (English) in both technical and non-technical communications. German language is a plus.
Have good experience creating design documents (HLD, LLD) diagrams (Visio) and presentations (PPT)

Attending meetings and workshops with the client to understand requirements, challenges, and risks.
Developing technology solution in cooperation with various technology teams using existing industry standards and best practices.
Creating design and support documentation for the delivered services with adherence to client’s processes and procedures.
Resolve incidents, problems affecting the operations/availability of high-profile production Oracle Databases.
Assist in tuning complex business analytical queries
Support Database Team with periodic database refresh, database update and patches.
Troubleshooting issues on business-critical system
Implementing improvements and automations to limit manual effort within database operations
Performs database management, ensures data integrity and security and designs database solutions based on client requirements.
Responsible for the installation, configuration, and operation of the Oracle databases
Develops and maintains installation, configuration, and operational documentation for databases
Implements security plans for each database server
Develops, tests, and implements database backup and recovery strategies
In high-availability configurations, configures and manages fail over clustering, linked servers, log shipping (stand-by servers) and replication
Develops and implements the monitoring strategy for databases
Performs software installation, upgrades, and installs database patches
Assists in database maintenance in areas such as access methods, validation checks, protection and security, documentation guidelines
Executes daily/weekly/monthly maintenance activities according to the respective procedures
Participates in implementation of new projects related to supported databases
Develops new utilities and tools for internal requirements
Performs database administration knowledge transfer to new colleagues
Cooperates with the application administrators
Cooperates with application and system software vendors
Creates OL/SQL code for packages and procedures, based on provided requirements
Troubleshoots and solves database related incidents to minimize end-user impact
Monitors database performance KPIs
Performs database capacity planning
Creates and manages database users/accounts
