Senior Java Developer

YOU AND YOUR TEAM

The team consist of 36 people of various roles: developers, testers and scrum master. The core of the team is located in Gdynia and Gdansk, some members are from Ukraine.

The team is responsible for development and maintenance of Publishing API component from RDP Core Building Block.

THE PROJECT YOU WILL BE PART OF

Publishing API component is responsible for automated ingestion of all the data to our Refinitiv Data Platform. It is designed to be highly performant, highly reliable distributed system, running in AWS cloud using AWS native tech. It is continuously developed and all the team members have influence on how particular parts are designed and implemented.

The development team cooperates with stakeholders and teams responsible for different block of Data Platform, located all around the world, in US, Europe and Asia.

SOME OF THE DAILY TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM:

• Writing code and tests for new functionalities or enhancements
• Taking part in design process
• Cooperating with the team in agile (SCRUM) approach
• Work with Product Managers on backlog and sprint planning
• As a part of 3rd level of support provided by the team - helping to investigate and resolve problems where technical support is unable to fix the issue
  

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

• Deep knowledge of Java 11+ and Spring Framework
• Knowledge of Linux
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of Cloud computing fundamentals (AWS is a preference)
• Understanding of SCRUM methodology
• You know one or more of the following: Terraform, Jenkins, Kinesis, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, AWS Lambda, API Gateway
• You know distributed systems concepts
