Research Manager - Procurement Market Intelligence

Undergraduate degree and the following skills:
Extensive report writing experience, especially industry reports
Basic understanding of finance, including analysis of key liquidity ratios
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Experience of working with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Knowledge of databases and tools such as Capital IQ, D&B, Factiva is a plus
Ability to work under pressure with a proven track record to deliver against objectives
Ability to foster innovation with out-of-box thinking
Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities
Ability to challenge current thinking by implementing new ways of working
Ability to proactively identify ways to contribute to Evalueserve’s goals and mission
Ability to understand the consulting business environment, language and processes
Demonstrated project and client management experience
Ability to recruit, mentor and manage junior analysts
Previous experience of 5-8 years

You would be required to develop high quality research reports for Category/Market Intelligence managers. The following products will help the clients better understand their categories and make them aware of important developments in them:
• Industry/market reports
• Category intelligence reports
• Newsletters
• Thematic research pieces highlighting emerging trends, both generic and category specific, in the Procurement space

You will also be required to work on more specific products, including:
• Supplier profiles
• Supplier risk assessments
• Supplier sustainability reports
• Cost models
• Inflation indices
Further, the role will involve development of deliverables for customized research assignments.
You will be responsible for managing research projects from scoping to delivery, including client relationship management and team coordination.
You will interact with Procurement stakeholders to understand their requirements and conceptualize solutions to fulfil these requirements. In this role, you will largely develop specialization in a specific industry/category and will be expected to actively engage with clients to share insights relevant to their business. On some occasions, you will be required to conduct workshops and present the category market intelligence output to Procurement stakeholders within the client’s organisation thus demonstrating domain knowledge and thought leadership as well as identifying potential business opportunities for Evalueserve.

You will support senior management in the development of new business opportunities by actively participating in building the solutions, liasing with our Client/Account Managers, putting together presentations for existing or prospective clients, etc.
You will take a proactive role in the quality control process, provide feedback and monitor performance, mentor and motivate more junior staff.
You will deliver training and organise other knowledge sharing activities with the team and the extened group.
