In this role, you will support external statutory audits, financial statements preparation and corporate closing and reporting processes. In a typical day as a Senior Controllership Accountant, you would:
      • Contribute to financial statements preparation and tax returns for the entity
      • Support the local statutory audits and any other audits as applicable
      • Perform permanent checks to accounting transactions booked to the entity’s ledger
      • Submit timely the local reporting fillings and maintain the interface with authorities if needed
      • Ensure compliance with local accounting principles and tax laws for all transactions
      • Support local month-end and year-end close process for corporate books
      • Develop and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
      • Contribute to entity projects where accounting expertise is required
      • Ensure records retention according to HPE policies and local laws
      • Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
      • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential 
      If you have..
      • 10 years proven experience as senior accountant (CECAR expert accountant would be an asset)
      • Solid knowledge of accounting procedures and practical experience required
      • In-depth understanding of Romanian Accounting rules and tax law rules
      • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process
      • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages(SAP S4, Sun Systems)
      • Advanced MS Excel skills
      • Accuracy and attention to detail
      • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
      • University degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
      • English language knowledge required
