    Role profile:

    LSEG recently acquired Refinitiv. An integration programme is currently underway to execute the combination of the two companies and deliver organisational and procurement synergies. LSEG is taking this opportunity to combine and transform both procurement functions into a single, world class Group Procurement function.

    Software Asset Management is a critical function located within the Group Procurement team to act as a liaison between the business units and Category Leads in procurement to ensure compliance of our contracts, as well as identify opportunities for driving synergies.

    We operate a business partnering and supplier relationship management (SRM) model, aligned to stakeholder groups and spend categories, ensuring value through early and strategic engagement and insightful vendor spend analytics.

    • Supplier spend c ?0.4BN and c. 600 suppliers
    • SAM technologies include
      • Flexera
      • Snow
      • ServiceNow
      • HCL BigFix
    • LSEG engages a key Managed Service Provider to produce Effective License Positions
    • Key hubs for the category teams in London, Bangalore, Portugal, and New York with decentralised activity to support local markets in various global locations including Europe and Asia

    The purpose of the role is to support the creation of 60 Effective License Positions refreshed Annually across our largest software suppliers. The production of ELPs is produced by a managed service provider. This role is to support the production of these ELPs and identify opportunities for reduction and optimization across all technology software.

    This role sits in the Technology tower of Group Procurement, reporting to the Director of Software Asset Management

    Key interfaces:

    • With line management (Director - Software Asset Management)
    • Category Managers and other buyers
    • Group Procurement Centre of Excellence and Shared Services teams
    • Business: supplier business owners, budget holders, and technology capability owners

    Key responsibilities of the role:

    • Oversee the creation of Effective License Positions by LSEG's managed service supplier (~60 ELPs annually)
    • Monitor SLA and KPIs of LSEG's MSP
    • Act as interface within procurement, technology and business units for the SAM team, including acting as primary escalation point for the team
    • Support vendor entitlement audits as required
    • Document and govern the processes for SAM, renewal, and software ordering for end users
    • Management of libraries, toolset and data, ensuring housekeeping and maintenance is undertaken with LSEG's SAM tools (Flexera, SNOW, HCL BigFix, Snowflake, and ServiceNow CMDB)
    • Work with governance, performance and reporting to ensure suitable data and status reports are produced on schedule
    • Be responsible for implementing service asset management policy and standards governing and ensuring maintenance and integrity of the service asset and configuration information including Items required to deliver technology service
    • Identify and track procurement led savings in SAM
    • Analyze and design the business architecture for combining SAM toolsets through Refinitiv/LSEG integration (technology implementation excluded)

    Enter the essential experience and skills required:

    • 3-5 years working as a software auditor, or relevant work experience in Software Asset Management
    • Proven ability to manage reporting processes / audit outputs for large organizations (Annual software contracts > ?50M per annum or individual software contracts >?5M per annum)
    • Expert in MS Excel based data analytics
    • Ability to document complex processes in simplified flows (Visio or equivalent)
    • Excellent spoken and written English skills
    • Flexibility in methods of data collection and gathering
    • Proven ability to turn contract commercial terms into software counting methodology
    • Previous experience overseeing managed service providers, or 3+ years working within a managed service provider
    • Proven history of strong data analytics
