    FRONTEND DEVELOPER

    LSEG Corporate Technology - Cloud Data Services Team

    Our goal is to improve processes and automate the developer experience across our Firm's diverse and global businesses by enabling developers with approved cloud patterns, policy as code, scalability, and dynamic state monitoring. Help us unlock world class Developer velocity and Cloud agility while securely protecting our Firm.


    Responsible for delivery of bespoke analytics dashboards, data pipelines, databases and other technical implementations. The team will leverage industry leading tools and techniques to bring value from data and create key insights to differentiate the LSEG technology business.
    Provide support across the CCoE function to enable teams to use repeatable patterns to delivery analytics from raw data while supporting the most complex requests through high touch client management.

    Key responsibilities
    Manage team of analytics and data staff
    Keep project plan and milestones for deliverables of the team
    Report/escalate risks/issues to Management
    Liaise with clients to get and retain business with multiple orgs across the Firm
    Provide resource projections and other resource management

    Critical deliverables
    The role is responsible for delivery of the following:
    Successful pilot and implementation of the analytics framework
    Migration of dashboards
    Maintain and expand use of modern tools
    Provide key stakeholders custom reporting for ad-hoc projects
    Support enterprise initiatives as the Firm executes on its target state strategy
    Weekly/Monthly reporting
    Quarterly updates to senior management on achievements/success
    Engagement with all other associated teams, ensuring that standards, strategies and approaches are correctly aligned across all affected areas

    Impact
    This primary focus of this role is to enable the development and business teams to operate as efficiently as possible reducing overhead and ensuring that program management and financial traceability are easily achieved by following the standards. Maturity in this space is all over the map and a comprehensive strategy to address specific 'segments' in specific ways is required to align across the Firm.
    Business and Development teams currently lack consistent tools and processes to achieve common technical procedures
    The role will support new & existing technologies to enable efficient software delivery at optimal cost across the organization.
    Ensuring adherence to standards will drive economies of scale and efficiency
    The role will promote best-practice approaches, working with developers, project managers, and business owners to design patterns that inherently satisfy standards and adhere to controls, in effect providing easy access of data and integration with nascent SaaS solutions

    Technical / job functional knowledge
    The following are critical functional requirements for the role:
    Substantial experience with analytics, data, and viz
    Front-to-back knowledge of data pipelines in large organization
    Able to advise on the right solutions to difficult and sometimes competing strategies

    Personal skills and capabilities
    The role will also involve a substantial amount of consultation, program planning/managing and communication with a wide variety of audiences in a number of formats, summarised below:
    Develop user interfaces using JavaScript and primarily AngularJS
    Significant control on design of frameworks and UI interfaces
    Create tools/methods to support migration to UI standards and design
    HTML/CSS and supporting frameworks
    Decisions on complex technical design and project implementation
    Experience in microservices development and CI/CD pipelines
    Contribute to test design and performance optimization

    Leadership and management experience
    Experience in demonstrating technical and strategic leadership advantageous

    Personal skills and capabilities
    The role will also involve a substantial amount of consultation, program planning/managing and communication with a wide variety of audiences in a number of formats, summarised below:
    Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with wider teams within organization
    Be a confident self-starter able to quickly investigate and learn unfamiliar processes, subsequently documenting and presenting recommended approaches based upon findings
    Be capable of presenting with technical teams
