What are we looking for? The role will be part of the Bucharest HUB Data & Analytics team and will be in charge of creating and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into actionable insights.


About you - When you can’t fall asleep, you count the distinct rows of a table instead of sheep? When asked about relationship advise, first thing that comes to your mind is: „one-to-many definitely, avoid many-to-many relationships!” You cut your teeth on Power BI, Tableau, data visualizations for insight, data modeling, relational databases (SQL) and/or Python, R or any other data oriented language ? If you answered Yes! to any of the above, then this opportunity might be for you.



Your Role
 

• The Business Insight Developer completes standard and ad-hoc reporting deliverables and maintains a good relationship with the stakeholder.
• Ensures the data utilized for the reporting and analysis are consistent.
• Drives the use of digital technology to improve the way Schlumberger works. This includes a consistent and reliable infrastructure and strong skills base, which recognizes the power of technology to help us meet our business objectives and achieve efficiencies.

• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.
• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
• Implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
• Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
• Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
• Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.
• Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
• Very good communication skills - must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with internal teams.

• Mandatory experience with Power BI and SQL.
• +3 years of experience in data-specific roles.
• Grip over data analytics.
• Software development skills.
• Comfortable dealing with large & complex data sets, performing to a high level of accuracy.
• Basic Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
