Mechanical test engineer for Automotive Moblity and Safety (TM)

Coordinate and perform measurements and test series on mechanical assemblies according to requirements profile and specifications for tests on climatic chambers, machines (e.g., grinding, polishing, wet cutting) and systems (e.g., modules), if necessary, using statistical methods (DoE=Design of Experiments) and coordinate with team, respectively project leader. If necessary, influence the definition of the specifications, respectively the deviation list in consultation with the team or project leader as early as the bidding phase.

Evaluate, interpret, and document test results and discuss them with the respective development engineer or technical project leader.

Cooperate with universities and institutes to learn new test procedures and check their applicability in own department. Introduce new measurement procedures after consulting with the team or project leader. If necessary, investigate test failures by means of electrical or microscopic test methods, carry out the necessary and prepare standardized test reports.

Support interns, trainees and students. If applicable, perform other general activities (e.g., inventory) in the area of responsibility to a limited extent.

Job Requirements:

* University Degree (i.e. Mechanics, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics);
* Previous testing experience;
* Knowledge of materials properties, behavior;
* Good knowledge of MS Office;
* Good communication skills, Advanced English - speaking and writing level;
* Self-organized workstyle with high quality awareness;
* Ability to work in an international team environment;
