A crucial point of call in respect of all revenue recognition related global tasks/queries. Revenue subject matter expert;
Work with the Regional Finance Teams, Corporate Information Systems ('CIS') Team to ensure accurate and timely revenue processing and reporting in accordance with Veeam's revenue recognition policies;
Review non-standard sales contracts and its impact on revenue recognition;
Prepare, review, analyze and interpret revenue reports from Salesforce CRM and NetSuite ERP;
Review the revenue recognition rules applied to product SKUs that drive the revenue recognition process, in particular, having a solid understanding of Standalone Selling Price ('SSP') and its impact on the fair value revenue allocation process;
Manage month/quarter end closing activities in relation to revenue;
Support year-end closing and external annual audit activities on revenue and deferred revenue;
Supervise Global Revenue Team;
Support the team enablement effort on the existing routine revenue reconciliation process;
Play pivotal role in the re-imagination of the overall revenue process, and adoption of technology and automation to achieve our Real Time Revenue ('RTR') objective, and to be able to utilize and work with our existing and developed systems to validate source data to achieve a higher level of data accuracy and integrity; and
Actively participate in organizational projects that are revenue related, and share insights and provide suggestions as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent
Proven experience in accounting, with specific knowledge of revenue recognition and ASC 606
NetSuite and Salesforce proficiency a plus
Superior attention to detail
Quick learner with ability to multitask, work independently, ability to lead a team, think critically and problem solve
Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
Proficient in Excel and other key Microsoft applications.
