Senior Accountant

Adecco Permanent Placement is recruiting for their client, a global manufacturer of analytical instrumentation, a Senior Accountant for their R&D in Cluj.

Job Responsibilities:

• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Ensures accuracy of system data; utilizes data to develop reporting that aids in decision-making and financial improvements (e.g., productivity initiatives, cost savings, inventory optimization etc.).
• Prepares budgets by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating data then recommending plans. Achieves budget objectives by monitoring expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Prepares all necessary Romanian government/statutory reporting in compliance with local requirements
• Responsible for full P&L and balance sheet and preparation of variance analysis
• Manages the monthly close process including approval of month end journal entries, review and approval of balance sheet reconciliations, completion of closing checklist, and submission of financial results to Corporate
• Prepares and presents financial results and monitors KPI’s as an active member of the management team
• Primary liaison with the external auditors during audits and as needed
• Coordinates the preparation of special analysis and/or reporting as requested by senior management

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a similar role
• English language is required
• The ability to question the status quo with a bias toward action
• Proven Leadership ability with track record of helping drive continuous process improvements
• Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with senior management and their extended teams
• Prior experience with NetSuite ERP a plus
