Junior Quality Engineer (Laboratory)

Location: Zalau, Romania
Department: Mill Product & Metallurgy - Laboratory - Unity & Collaboration – Excellence – Steel mechanical & chemical properties – Innovative technologies – Supportive team
Purpose: Supports laboratory processes as applicable.

Responsibilities: 
•    Generates lab activity reporting e.g: performance indicators.  
•    Ensures the availability of updated applicable documents, e.g procedures, work instructions and specifications.  
•    Analyzes and proposes actions for the resolution of detected problems.  
•    Provides specialized assistance on his/her area of expertise.  
•    Identifies opportunities of improvement of laboratory processes and proposes preventive actions.  
•    Verifies the application and development of safety standards. 

This “Junior Engineer” role is part of the Global Trainee Program - the ideal job for graduates to kick start their career in engineering. It offers professional development and real life experience within the leading multinational company in seamless pipes.

During this complex development cycle of 2 years, you will go through the following phases: 

•    Experience in 2 departments over the course of the program 
•    1 month in Argentina (Induction Camp) 
•    E-learnings, on the job training and other specialized courses 

Your profile:
•    Degreed in: Metallurgy / Material Science or other related technical fields.
•    Language: English - Intermediate
•    Specific knowledge: Excel, Outlook, Metallurgy, Heat Treatment, Material mechanical properties and alloys  

•    dynamic with high level of initiative and autonomy 
•    curious, fast learner and team player
•    accuracy through tasks and multitasking 
•    great communication and interpersonal skills
