    ESG Risk Analyst - Quantitative

    Job Description

    • The (Quantitative) ESG Risk Analyst will work in the growing BSL Labs team in Bucharest on assisting with the production and adaptation of ESG/climate risk quantification models and scenario analysis.
    • The Analyst will help the LSEG London ESG Risk team with building and adapting ESG/climate scenario quantification models for different areas of the business.
    • The role will also involve collaborating with multiple stakeholders across business divisions, conducting model demonstrations as well as researching ESG and financial topics.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Advanced MS Excel (essential)
    • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau
    • MS Office skills
    • Presentation skills
    • Analytical approach with problem solving skills
    • Teamwork, cooperation and communication
    • Ability to investigate and independently research topics
    • Perseverance and attention to detail
    • Document writing skills
    • Project management
    • Python, R, Matlab or other programming skills - not essential essential but beneficial


    • PhD or Masters degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative subjects
    • Financial/risk/climate modelling experience essential (or highly beneficial)
    • Coding experience (beneficial)
    • Ideal to have 2-3 years' experience in Data Modelling, Front Office Quant or Risk Quant role.
    • Interest, knowledge and/or experience in ESG, sustainability and reporting, finance and business
