For our customer, one of the world’s leading glazing manufacturers who has developed a large portfolio of products for the automotive, marine, mass transit, and military markets, we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer.

Location: Ghent (Belgium)

Requirements:
University (Engineering / Applied Sciences);
Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position Automotive (Process, Manufacturing, Operations, or Industrial Engineering);
Practical experience with FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, Lean Manufacturing (VSM, SMED, 5S, 8 wastes, workload balancing, ergonomics), Time and Motion / Cycle Time Studies; Experience in Glass / Plastic / Injection Mold manufacturing processes and a strong asset;
Product Line Launch, Mechatronical and Automation experience a strong asset;
​Full working proficiency in English a must; other languages ​​an asset;
Full MS Office proficiency necessary; SAP, PDM, and PLM systems knowledge an asset;
Proactive, go-to, hands-on attitude; analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset; time and task management; drive to strive.

Responsibilitiеs:
You work in cross-disciplinary teams in new launches, at all stages of the project, to ensure optimal line design and production concept for handover to Operations;
You participate in Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement projects (eg. Failure analyses, Capacity increase, etc.) and drive the implementation of process solutions and Lessons Learned;
You monitor and analyze performance KPIs - such as OEE, Yield, Flowrate, Downtime, Defects, and Deviations - identify the root causes of issues impacting those KPI's and execute actions to address and eliminate negative effects;
You prepare Work Instructions and Train Key Operators and Personnel.
