    Requirements

    HPE is the Global leading provider of information technology, infrastructure, software, services, and solutions to individuals and organizations of all sizes. The EMEA Customs and Compliance team provides import and export solutions and consulting that contribute to low cost, competitive, predictable and compliant supply chain execution across the borders. We are looking for a Customs Operations and Compliance Specialist to join our team.



    How you’ll make your mark:

    You will manage customs operations and compliance activities for a given country and/or group of countries.

    You will ensure compliance with complex of and country/regional/global trade regulations in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.

    You will manage customs broker activities and works with customs broker performance metrics, including management of related customs (Duties/VAT, broker fees, etc.), driving alignment to Customs Operations turn-around-time (TAT) & compliance to customs broker manual.

    You will work to support the Regional Customs Broker Strategy.

    You will support Customs Broker Assessment & provide audit support

    You will engage with HPE Global Trade and other organizations as required.

    You will support regional advocacy efforts as required (engagement with government authorities)

    You will support emerging markets exploration & execution and provide Customs Operations guidance.

    You will identify opportunities for Customs Operations process improvement and lead/develop recommendations and provides insight for management.

    You will communicate Customs Operations requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit teams.

    Responsibilities

    About you:

    You have ability to understand and interpret EU/Country/International trade regulations in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.

    You have customs Broker Management experience - establishing TAT, measuring performance, ensuring compliance to contract, broker manual, HPE internal policies/government regulations.

    You have experience with conducting broker assessments, conducting comparison across multiple broker partners and prior experience with government authorities during Customs audits.

    You have experience with responding to routine inquiries by Government authorities.

    You have good understanding of supply chain trading flows.

    You have basic understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).

    You have basic ability to understand Customs requirements and engage on projects for emerging markets

    You have strong written and verbal communication, presentation and influencing skills;

    You have good project management skills.

    You have strong analytical skills.-

    You have first level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

    You have typically 4-6 years of experience in a customs/global trade function.
