The Infrastructure Architect plays an integral role in defining and assessing the Bank’s infrastructure strategy, architecture and practices. The role is essential in the digital transformation of our banking platform by adopting hybrid cloud models and technology stacks to allow efficient realization of our change activities. It’s fundamental position in the process of translation of the business objectives and risk management strategies into specific security processes enabled by infrastructure & security technologies and services.

 A minimum of five years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, team lead, architect, or other hands on leadership role ideally for a bank, major consultancy or system integrator
 Experience working in cross-functional, multinational and geographically dispersed teams
 Experience in at least 3 of following IT infrastructure layers:
o Hypervisors
o IP networks — WAN and LAN
o Storage networks — Fibre Channel, iSCSI and NAS
o Backup networks and media
o Software Defined Networks
o Cloud technologies and software defined data centres
 Experience in designing or managing containerization platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift) leveraging appropriate toolsets to deliver towards a CI/CD strategy.
o Experience working in an agile environment

Soft skills:
 Demonstrates flexibility within a variety of changing situations, while working with individuals and groups.
 Working knowledge of managing IT infrastructure — e.g., firewalls, SmartCards, PKI, intrusion prevention systems (IPSs), web application firewalls (WAFs), endpoint protection, SIEM and log management technology.
 Strong working knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, containerization technologies
 Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to audience including C-level executives as well as software developers.
 Design thinking approach
 Experience working in cross-functional, multinational and geographically dispersed teams

 Owns the infrastructure architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business and technology goals as well as working practices
 Develops hybrid cloud strategy and governance to meet future business requirements, with a focus on containerization and microservice architectures
 Develops infrastructure strategy plans, roadmaps and other architecture artifacts based on sound enterprise architecture practices.
 Participates as a consultant in application and infrastructure projects to provide infrastructure & security-planning advice
 Determines baseline infrastructure configuration standards for operating systems (e.g., OS hardening), network segmentation, and identity and access management (IAM) platforms and capabilities.
 Validates IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for the industry best practices and recommends changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable.
 Reviews network segmentation strategy (also in a containerized environment) to ensure least privilege for network access, ensures this translates to a new software defined data canter offering.
