Business Intelligence Analyst

What will help you be successful

• Bachelor's degree in economics, technical, mathematics, computer science;
• Specialization on the Business Intelligence area or Data Management is an advantage;
• Minimum in the specialized field: 2 years ideally in financial and banking;
• Experience in using Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos);
• Experience / working history within the BI team;
• In-depth knowledge of industry standard techniques for data processing, data management, data delivery, data mining, analysis and reporting;
• IT knowledge - SQL (on Oracle / other databases), Cognos (or other BI and Reporting tools – XL Cubes, Tableau, Power BI etc.), advanced in Excel and Microsoft Office in general;
• Good understanding of Data warehouse and relational database concept;
• Very good understanding of Business Intelligence concept;
• High analytical abilities;
• Intermediate banking knowledge (at least in one domain – e.g. reporting, data management, business analytics, finance, reporting,  controlling etc.).

• Propose reporting solutions for business lines, having a proactive conduct or having as start point the main request and ensuring that the final development fulfills it and maximize data utility for the beneficiaries;
• Develop Business Intelligence solutions using the available software of the Bank;
• Maintain an ETL (Extract-Transform-Loading) process aligned with Bank’s Data Governance principles, using the proper data sources for all reports/dashboards/applications developed for business lines;
• Ensures well-functioning and permanently update and improve BI platform, developing data visualization capabilities witch allow users to make detailed analysis and statistics using DAR principle (Dashboard-Analysis-Reporting);
• Use best practices regarding the development of specific BI applications, being aware of principles regarding data modelling and data visualization;
• Participate in collaboration with involved business lines in drawing specifications  for  reports/dashboards/applications developed through Business Intelligence technology;
• Offers support and post-implementation maintenance for various kind of users from different business units in using BI solutions;
• Supervise usage of existing BI applications and suggest improvement ideas if the case;
• Collaborate with colleagues responsible for IT infrastructure and offer support in various activities related to BI platform;
• Test proposed solutions and ensure the documentation of the development;
• Identify possible data inconsistency from developed BI applications (if the case) and propose reconciliation/remedial solutions.
