IBM Internship- Application Engineer

IBM Client Innovation Center Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) was established in 2012 by joining several centers in Europe. The Delivery Center is part of a global network of 80 similar centers and uses the best IBM methods of work, global processes and techniques. The center has achieved CMMI Level 5 (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and its mission is to provide customers with software solution customized to their global business needs.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :
student in final year or fresh graduate or an IT University;
Basic troubleshooting skills
Basic networking understanding
Basic linux/unix skills
Basic SQL skills
Basic analytical skills, having interest for technical innovation;
Very good ability to communicate in English (verbally and in writing);
Ability to communicate and collaborate efficiently;
Interested and engaged in continuous learning and personal development (new tools, technologies, methodologies)
Willingness to learn and work using Agile / Dev Ops methodologies, practices and tools;
Collaborative and reliable, patient, respect for the opinions of others;
Establish credibility and build relationships with clients and team members;
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :
previous activity within university projects
Basic SAP skills;

Your Role and Responsibilities :
Framework/Technology: Basic skills for Linux, Oracle, understand how to perform a log analysis (SQL and/or Java), basic application troubleshooting skills;

What are we looking for?
The Application Engineer will be responsible for managing the availability of the application, by applying different problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills and strategies, including trying to reproduce an issue. Being a good communicator within the team and having analytical skills, the intern will work closely with the DevOps Team members (Business Analyst, Developers, Scrum Master, Testers, but also other Application engineers and the client but other 3rd party providers.
The internship is on a 3-moths contract, full time, start date as soon as we identify the most suitable candidate.
There is high possibility of continuity after the internship period.
