Cloud Migration Engineer

IBM Client Innovation Center Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) was established in 2012 by joining several centers in Europe. The Delivery Center is part of a global network of 80 similar centers and uses the best IBM methods of work, global processes and techniques. The center has achieved CMMI Level 5 (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and its mission is to provide customers with software solution customized to their global business needs.

Hands-on experience in the areas of:

○ Private ​virtualization​ (Hyper-V, VMware etc)
○ Windows​ Server and ​Linux​ administration
○ Active Directory administration
○ DB administration - basic knowledge
○ Backup and DR systems
○ P2V, V2V​ migration experience would be valued
○ CI/CD​ - basic knowledge
○ Scripting ​- creation and modification of scripts

Experience and technical understanding of large scale data center ​migrations
Practical, systematic and detail-oriented mindset and ability to learn fast
Understanding of ​AWS,​ ​Azure ​or ​GCP ​highly valued
Project-related communication skills and business mindset
Excellent written and spoken English

Assessment of existing environments of our customers
Planning the migration patterns to be used and spotting risks / challenges
Conducting the actual migrations from an on-prem environment to the cloud
Ensuring high-quality delivery metrics, reporting and business profitability
Focussing on rapid productivity for our fast moving migration processes
Helping to develop migration methodology & tooling
