IBM Internship – DevOps Developer

IBM Client Innovation Center Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) was established in 2012 by joining several centers in Europe. The Delivery Center is part of a global network of 80 similar centers and uses the best IBM methods of work, global processes and techniques. The center has achieved CMMI Level 5 (Capability Maturity Model Integration) and its mission is to provide customers with software solution customized to their global business needs.

Required Education:
-Bachelor’s Degree or student in final year. Majors preferred are Computer Science, Mathematics, Cybernetics or similar.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
-Linux / Windows administration and troubleshooting skills
-Shell scripting – Basic knowledge
-Networking – General concepts
-Basic understanding of various IT solutions and applications
-English language skills: Fluent
-Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
-Strong analytic and problem-solving skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
-2nd foreign Language is a plus
-Basic knowledge of SQL and databases can be a plus
-Basic understanding of security concepts can be a plus
-Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
-Basic knowledge of containers, Docker and Kubernetes
-Experience with at least one programming language (C, Java, .NET, PHP etc.)
-Volunteering Activity
-English advanced

– Work closely with our engineering teams to identify and implement optimal solutions for project requirements
– Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
– Maintain UNIX, Linux and Windows environments
– Write scripts to automate tasks and server management
– Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, document problems and implement preventive measures
– Manage the automation and orchestration software for on-premises and cloud infrastructures
– Develop automation code for continuous integration and continuous deployment
– Manage on-premises and cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
– Review and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

The internship is on a determined period of time, of 3 months, full-time, with start date as soon as we identify the right profiles. Also consider that after these 3 months, there is high possibility of continuity, on full time schedule as well.
