Data Engineer - Azure Data Platform

What we are looking for:

• Professional experience building data/analytics solutions on the Microsoft platform, especially Azure data services
• Hands-on experience with Power BI
• Hands-on experience with ADLS gen. 2 (Azure Data Lake Storage), Azure Data Factory, Databricks/Spark, Azure SQL Server, Synapse and DevOps
• Azure SQL (SQL on prem) performance and optimization
• Experience to design end to end solution architecture
• Collaborative attitude
• Passion for data and analytics, translating data-driven insights into decisions and actions
• Self-starter, self-managed, quick learner, problem-solver with a positive, collaborative, and team-based attitude
• Good use of English language (comprehension, written and speech)

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Design the data pipelines for the corresponding projects ensuring that are highly available, scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective
• Create optimal data pipeline architecture ensuring that the data has the best suitable format from the point of view of consumption and cost in every stage of the datalake
• Design and implement monitoring processes of the whole Data Lake Platform, including performance, cost, availability indicators at the project/resource level
• Monitor Power BI assets usage, prevent outages and detect underused resources
• Know very well the interaction between tools and recommend best practices
• Provide support to the data modelers on the optimization of DAX queries and Power Query transformations
• Perform code reviews
• Support projects on technical issues
• Conduct POCs and participate on new data initiatives in order to facilitate their implementation
• Collaborate with internal teams
