    The Business Need

    FTSE Russell has established a very strong reputation within the marketplace for the quality and reliability of its index products and its expertise in dealing with unusual or complex stock events is widely acknowledged. With a strong presence in the European financial markets, and a rapidly growing presence in the North American and Asian markets the company is now looking to increase its market share globally and become the number one provider of index client solutions globally.

    Key Functions and Responsibilities
    • Working in the FTSE DevOps team, you will be responsible for delivering automated testing, deployment and will facilitate migration of on premises infrastructure to the cloud;
    • Manage and configure all development and integration environments including tools like Jira, Confluence & Nexus, Git both on premise and in the cloud;
    • Supervise the general health & automation of development environment.
    • Install, monitor and maintain integration platforms across products and systems;
    • Automate build, test, deployment and monitoring across all FTSE Russell systems;

    Minimum Requirements
    • Linux or Windows Administration with good experience in shell scripting;
    • Experience with CI-CD pipelines and tools (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab);
    • Experience in automation, monitoring and log management;
    • Demonstrable SQL knowledge;
    • Experience with AWS;
    • Experience with the HashiCorp suite (Packer, Terraform, Consul);
    • Experience with Ansible;

    Desirable Skills
    • Exposure to Groovy and Java;
    • Exposure to Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket);
    • Experience programming in a major programming language (e.g., C++, Java);
    • Experience with financial markets;
