A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
Experience in managing storage systems from vendors such as EMC, NetApp, HP, IBM, Hitachi - Four-plus years of experience in an enterprise environment.
Previous experience as a UNIX system administrator (Linux RedHAT/CentOS, AIX, HP-UX) - Four-plus years of experience in an enterprise environment.
Detailed knowledge of UNIX principles, file editing, UNIX commands, and file manipulation.
Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, LINUX, and LINUX shell scripting.
Knowledge of OSI network priciples and networking principles including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP.
Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate fluent, clearly and concisely in English (interface directly with internal and external clients and support)
Availability for working in shifts or off-working hours and off-base sites.

Manage and maintain storage systems hardware and software.
Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices and fiber switches.
Configure FC zoning.
Creation, modification and deletion of storage volumes; manage volumes visibility for hosts.
Manage storage snapshots as well as recovery methods for storage volumes.
Execute and supervise across-site replication of significant DR data.
Oversee IO performance of storage LUNs.
Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops.
Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.
Capacity management

Installing and upgrading UNIX system software on client servers.
Creating UNIX file systems.
Setting up and maintaining UNIX user accounts and access management systems.
Detecting and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
Monitoring the performance of the system and server.
Applying patches and upgrades when necessary.
Directly communicate with other teams (infrastructure or applications) for quick resolution of services disruption.

Nice to have:
Romanian speaker or knowledge would be a plus
Experience with Cloud tenants (Azure, AWS, and GCP preferred)
Capacity to develop independently on a assigned task.
Any certification in Storages/Linux/Unix fields
