Who you are:

• You have a degree in Mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field of study;
• At least 2 years experience in Product engineering;
• At least 1 year experience dealing with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing;
• At least 2 years of experience with CAD-based design tools;
• Excellent understanding of the design rules for plastic, sheet metal and die cast components;
• Tolerance calculations, manufacturing technologies (i.e. stamping, injection, SMT) and the inter-connection of different mechanical parts (i.e. connectors);
• Knowledge of existing design methods like FMEA, DFMA, V-Model;

We would also appreciate:

• If you are willing to travel abroad for trainings and project work;

• Experience with CREO;

Our team is happy to welcome you. Here is what you will be doing if you choose to join the team:

• Analyze requirements (environmental conditions, installation, material, manufacturing, life-time) related to the mechanical design of an electronic control unit used in automotive and non-automotive applications;
• Active lead of technical discussions with supplier and capability evaluation for components in own responsibility as part of the purchasing process;
• Responsible for design of new or change of an existing mechanical part using one of the material classes metal sheet, plastics or die-cast, by taking into account all technical and assembly requirements as well as manufacturing technologies and cost aspects;
• Support the launch of the product in series production and after start of production;
• Prepare all documentation related to the mechanical design as required by the engineering process;
• Evaluation of technical and commercial risk and time planning;
• Participation in customer meetings;
• Support the sample built in different stages of the product development;
