For our client, a 3,000 Ha grain and oilseed farm under new ownership based in Giurgiu County, we are recruiting an experienced Farm Manager.
The organization plans to expand to 9,000 Ha, upgrade facilities, equipment and install irrigation systems.

Candidate profile:
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, animal science, or equivalent
- additional courses in business management or administration are recommended
- extensive experience in a farming-related field
- management experience would be a plus
- passion for agriculture
- excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- dynamic personality and the ability to make decisions in stressful environments
- exquisite communication and interpersonal skills
- fluent communication in English (in both writing and speaking)

- analyzing existing operations, crops, equipment, facilities and staff and recommending improvements
- preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations
- sourcing and procurement of raw materials, machinery and equipment and marketing the sale of produced crops
- making regular visits to the farmlands and reviewing soil and water test results to determine what adjustments need to be made to plan
- scheduling repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery
- ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety regulations
- recruiting and training new staff members
- collaborating with senior staff to prepare budgets and financial reports
- building professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science
